Passing the Mantle
Training for Ministry Series
The call of God into ministry begins a long process in the life of an individual. The first call is a call to consecration. God speaks and urges one to come aside from the regular schedule and spend time alone with Him. As a person begins to surrender their personal priorities to the will of God, a breaking and a remolding process begins. Through time and divine order, God’s plan for the ministry is designed to produce the “perfect man” in the stature and fullness of Jesus Christ.
Training is part of God’s plan for ministry. Jesus trained his disciples, and the Apostle Paul trained Timothy. Training is passed on from one generation to another. The harvest field is vast and ready. We are living in the last days, and it is therefore essential that multitudes of workers prepare for the final reaping.
Rev. Jack Yonts spent over thirty-five years of his life training others in the ministry. He was driven by a special burden to help develop young men and women with a call of God on their life. God placed on his heart a strong desire to produce material to help challenge and assist these aspirants to the ministry.
The result of that burden is this series of lessons titled, Passing the Mantle. The two-volume series is designed to help both the aspiring minister/leader and the leader of leaders.
It was Rev. Yonts’ desire that some of his sixty-five years of ministerial experience could be passed on to the next generation. Whether you are aspiring to the ministry yourself or are wanting to train up the next generation of ministers in your church, this series is the place to start.

With this series, a long standing unaddressed need in the Apostolic fellowship has been met.
This work of expertise and experience was born out of a passion, burden, and love for the cause of God and the Apostolic Ministry. Rev. Jack Yonts as a pastor, organizational official and leader of men was a mentor to thousands of preachers around the world. His time proven, God honored principles and perceptions are shared with all in this timely presentation. My relationship with him as a young pastor both enlarged and enriched my life. Thank you Rev. Yonts for your commitment of time and labor to give us this rich resource and reference for being bigger and better for God—both ourselves and those we lead.

The material you will find in this teacher’s manual is definitely very advantageous in the development of one’s ministry. Rev. Jack Yonts writes to us from his many years of experience in pastoral work and founding churches, coupled with the years he served as General Director of the Home Missions Division of the United Pentecostal Church International. This is an excellent study that will enhance your ministry. I encourage you to take advantage of this course as it will bring you to a position of living on the cutting edge of revival and church growth—such is the value of this mantle of anointing. There are many booklets and courses that are developed in our day, yet many of them are developed in theory only.
